** ABOUT ** (AKA: the fine print)

Hello,

We are a larger family who have made some pretty big moves, every couple of years, over the past 6 years.  In the process, we apparently have acquired way to much stuff.  We have found it is much easier to just go buy something "new" when you can't locate the box it is in and for that reason and my apparent need of retail therapy we have, like I said, to much stuff!

In the past I have run an online Garage Sale that panned out really well.  Now that we are hopefully settled in a general location, I am going to attempt one again.  (Plus it's easier to sell kid stuff if it's not all out in front of them screaming at them to save it!  I know you know what I'm talking about...)

Feel free to pass this "sale" around to your friends and family.

Thanks!

*****************************

Rule of Thumb is 1st come - 1 serve.
*  I also will do my very best to place "pending" on an item and then remove it (or at the very least place "taken") once the item has left my home.

Pending = if I have placed "Pending" on an item, it means the item is still in my possession but waiting on a "claimed-by" buyer who has not yet paid for it.  This also leaves a slight opening for the next person in line to get it should the person who originally claimed it, either not show by the agreed time or changes their mind before claiming it.

Returns = there are none, it's that simple.
Same as with a regular yard / garage sale.  Once it leaves my property it will not be coming back and no refunds / exchanges will be offered.

Mailing =   I prefer not to mail anything - if for some reason it is an item someone not local MUST HAVE then maybe we can work something out but I am not responsible for any shipping costs or liability.  That would 100% be covered by the buyer.

Pick-up / Purchasing = I am more then willing to meet (publicly) somewhere in the Brighton area to help make the sale easier or more comfortable for you and often times, myself as well.
  *  Nearby locations can be discussed as needed *

I will only accept Cash.  I am not set up for Credit Cards and I'm not willing to take a chance of a bad check - no matter how sincere or wonderful you truly are.  =)

A  couple little things I ask of  "you" to help make transactions go more smooth...

*  Please do your best to have as close to exact change as you can when purchasing an item.  I do not carry much cash.
*  Please do not ask for me to get more things out once you are here.  If you would like to see something alongside of what you purchasing - please ask ahead of time so that I may have it ready.

A couple little things I try to do for you to make things easier...
*  If you are meeting at my home,  I will have the item(s) you are purchasing ready and waiting.
*  I will do my best to describe the item in detail and will be honest about it's condition.  (if you don't agree with my words on an item's condition,  you are never obligated to buy it once it is seen in person)
*  I am willing to answer questions via email.
*  I am willing to dicker on a price.
** Please keep in mind tho,  while 1st come first serve is my number one rule, if it is a "higher end" priced item which will be rare I will seek out the 1st "at price" customer first.  If that falls through, or (more likely) there isn't another interested buyer, I will be more likely to accept a lower offer.

Last but not least - lets just have fun with this!   I'm not an antique dealer trying to unload my old barn full of stuff (tho I do love those sales and tend to get drawn in by some mysterious force).  No, I am just a Mom who has gathered to much stuff to be able to spend the amount of fun, quality time she wants with her kids because she's always trying to sort and organize and rationalize all the cough, cough treasures she's acquired for the family over a few very chaotic years.

My spending therapy can be your gain and remember to keep checking back because my hope is to continue adding things until my home looks like a show home - HA!!!!
